Being otherwise tied up myself going along to see Lilly Loca’s Vaudeville Cabaret Presents: ‘The Wunderbar Spectacular’ which was amazing! I interviewed the creator Nat, not so long ago and you can read it here.

This is how my evening ended up..
Being otherwise engaged, I sent Dolly Destory and my bloggy BFF Hannah  along to watch the fabulous show!  Here is a short review of the fabulousness that is  An Evening with Miss Polly Rae & The Hurly Burly Girlys by my first ever guest writer Dolly!
Miss Dolly Destory!
The girls even showed up at my local bar DNA on K’rd after the show to meet and greet (aren’t they gorgeous!
The Hurly Burly girls at DNA bar with Miss Tess Tickle!

Inspiration is a beautiful thing, and it comes no more beautiful than in the form of Miss Polly Rae (UK) and her Hurly Burly Girlys.

The only boy in the show being generally amazing!

Merging burlesque, cabaret, ballet and musical theatre, the multi-talented troupe put on an evening of unsurpassed glamour and style.

The multi-talented Miss Polly Rae showcased her spectacular showmanship, lovely singing voice and stunning figure in a multitude of numbers ranging from the comedic to the unashamedly raunchy.

Kitty Bang Bang wowed the crowd with her flexibility and daring, alternately eating fire, spinning flaming nipple tassles and going from en pointe to full splits in the blink of an eye.

Miss Betsy Rose was a visual treat, channelling Dita von Teese in the best possible way. Her ballet-inspired solo pieces were the highlights of the evening.

Fallon Donakey, Sarah Louise Buckle and Katie Ella Hartwicke rounded out the Hurly Burly Girlys, taking us from the court of Marie Antoinette to the bordellos of Paris via 19th century Shanghai and the Hurly Burly Convent – who knew nuns could be so naughty?

If all the Hurly Burly Girlys’ costumes mysteriously go missing, don’t ask me! A sumptuous feast of sequins, crystals and fetish-inspired body harnesses… black platform stilettoes with sparkly rubber dildos on the back of the ankle – who would have ever thought of such things?
